Book Cover a digital photography workbook

Buy My New Digital Photography E-Book

My Story:  About 6 years ago I bought my first digital SLR camera and I had no idea how to use it.  Sure I had used an old manual Pentax K1000 film camera and I had a nice Sony point and shoot camera but they didn't prepare me for all of the new functions, features, and software for this new dSLR.

Does this sound like you?  Do you have a new expensive camera and you're still using it in full auto modes to take snapshots?

I dedicated all of my spare time to learning photography and this new technology and now three cameras and 6 years later I finally have it all figured out.

Oh, and I also went through that expensive phase where I figured that new equipment would make me a better photographer.  So let me save you a lot of time and money.  New equipment doesn't make you a "better photographer"!  Knowledge and experience is what will make you a better photographer.

So then it hit me.  That's it, that's my niche, I've been a teacher of science and technology for the past 19 years.  It's a natural fit, I should teach people how to master the art of digital photography.

The classes and workshops you see listed below are all here to help you learn how to control of that expensive camera and become a better photographer.  The classes will give you the proper background knowledge you need and the workshops or photo shoots will give you the hands on experience you need to master your camera.

I hope to meet you soon at a workshop or a class,

Gary Detonnancourt
